The European Cross Sectoral Network is a common space for all those groups working on the global financial and economic crises and wish to articulate their work with other groups at the European and international level. This site is a hub to give visibility to our work and actions.
We are several networks, social movements and civil society NGOs in Europe, including trade unions, groups working for global justice, environmental organizations, development organisations, peasant movements, faith-based groups and organizations fighting poverty in several European countries. In January 2009, we began to organize the space for exchange between networks (European Cross-networking Space). In this space, we collectively analyse the current crisis, we develop joint strategies and discuss common alternatives in response to such crises, knowing that our work and initiatives at the national level should be complemented by actions at European and international levels.
